ACRYLIC PAINT WASTE , A THREAT TO OUR EXISTENCE

I have always loved nature, the human form, our humanity. The rawness of existing.
Last year I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I have never been so inspired. I have never felt more afraid for our future, the environmental issues, climate change.

As an artist, as a mother, I feel a responsibility to enlighten and change the way we handle our acrylic paint waste. In oil paint, oil is the binder to the pigment. In Acrylic paint the acrylic is the binder. Acrylic is plastic! a.k.a microplastic. It also contains other metals and toxins. Most of us is washing our acrylic paint waste right down the drain into our water. Paint is the largest source of microplastic in the ocean and water, outweighing all other sources of microplastic.

I like to say" Oil paint have the potential to hurt your health. Acrylic have the potential to hurt your grandchildren, and every child on this planet"

“For our future,
for my child,

for all our children, present and future.

We have to stop this!”

In this moment I am working on a pilot for a documentary. Im getting educated, doing research, filming a pitch. I need your support, people to collab with, spread the word.

Will you help me?

For our future, for my child, for all our children, present and future. We have to stop this!
